I'm Amie, the designer, the creator and face behind the brand.

How it started...at home from my little kitchen. Fed up of searching online and in store for outfits I had visualised and weren’t even a thing! I decided to give sewing for myself a go. I did take textiles at GCSE level in school but to be honest this only taught me the basics and how to use a domestic sewing machine. Through hard work and determination I have fully taught myself how to sew.

Growing up I was always revamping my clothes/bikini's, adding sequins, bows, crystals, frills etc wanting to stand out and be different from everyone else. This is where my sewing career really began if I'm honest, getting noticed at the beach on girly holidays and stopped by girls on nights out, asking where they could buy it from...such an AMAZING feeling! Exchanging details is how I started to gain my client base and this is still growing today. Worldwide in fact!

As my client base grew, so did my fabric deliveries, it was madness! I was in desperate need of more space, cutting out was a nightmare, I also needed to invest in more industrial machines so that I could keep up with the demand. I then made the move to my studio space in November 2019 and I absolutely love it here. 'It's my happy place' I get in early, make myself a strong coffee, whack one of my favourite play lists on and off I go.

For those that don't already know, I currently run @amiewolfenden.com alone and personally hand make each item to order myself. This is the reason why I can only offer a certain amount of live products at once on my website.
Don't worry though, it won't be like this forever. I have big plans to expand so watch this space!
